Is there a crisis in world journalism?

The best known British television journalist-Jeremy Paxman of 'Newsnight' has agreed to come to Coventry by videolink from Television Centre in London to take part in a major conference on Wednesday October 28th on "IS WORLD JOURNALISM IN CRISIS?'

As previously reported on Journalism.co.uk, we are supporting an event at Coventry University on October 28 that will ask ‘Is World Journalism in Crisis?’ with participants contributing via video-link from around the globe.

The distinguished US online journalism commentator Jeff Jarvis will join experts from around the world for the 'Is World Journalism in Crisis?' event.
As previously reported on Journalism.co.uk, the free and open-to-all event will take place in the Humber Theatre of Coventry University on Wednesday October 28 from 2-5pm.
Camelot plc, the National Lottery operators, will sponsor the conference, which is also supported by Coventry University's International department and Journalism.co.uk.

Papers are closing locally, nationally and internationally. Journalists are heading for dole queues.
